From freelance media designer to award-winning art director.

Jens lives with his husband and mother-in-law in the family-friendly district of Münster-Gievenbeck. The Münster resident by choice has left his home in the Harz mountains of Lower Saxony and the intermediate stations of Marburg and Hanover behind him and has now been living in our beautiful university city for a whole decade. Jens is rather a quiet contemporary and therefore we are not surprised that he also shares his life with five cats. When he's not indulging his cooking and baking passions in his spare time, he finds his daily dose of relaxation by gaming on a variety of consoles.

Place in the movement:

Jens and MeisterSinger met in the winter of 2011 when our managing director was looking for someone to teach him how to use a design programme. At the beginning of 2012, Jens then worked permanently for MeisterSingers as a freelancer. After six years of freelance work, we employed him full-time in communication and product design and are happy about it every day. As art director, Jens is now responsible for all graphic design and has hit the big time with his first own clock design (The Astroscope). From magazine ads to advertising posters to packaging design, Jens is our all-round designer.

Jens on his work at Your MeisterSingers:

"If someone had told me 10 years ago that I would one day receive an award for designing my own watch, I would probably have laughed at that person. Working at Your MeisterSingers has allowed me to grow personally and professionally and has influenced me positively on different levels. In any case, it never gets boring and it remains varied. I like being here and am happy to be able to help shape the future of MeisterSingers. In the truest sense of the word.

Our service angel

In January, Jelka had her 10th MeisterSinger anniversary. Today we can hardly imagine how it could have been without her. Anyone who reads the MeisterSinger presentations carefully will realise by now at the latest that our employees are very close to the company and like to put down their roots with us in the long term. It is therefore not surprising that Jelka became a mother twice duringnher time with us and then returned to us, fortunately. She enjoys spending time with her large family or friends, keeping fit with running and - how could it be otherwise - a team sport: handball. She never gets bored, because there is always enough to do around the house and in her own garden.

Space in the factory

Jelka joined MeisterSinger more than 10 years ago - on the recommendation of her friend and colleague Bianca. From the very beginning, she declared the service to be her heart's project and thus made it what it is today. Before, no one was really responsible for this important area. Whether repairs or complaints, whether procuring spare parts or looking after internal and external workshops; it wouldn't work without Jelka with her talent for dealing with people. She is one of those people who always keeps an overview, even in the most stressful times.

Jelka about her work at MeisterSinger

I am 100% behind MeisterSinger and our products. I really enjoy my job here, which is not least due to the good working atmosphere and the team spirit. But our customers, who are usually very pleasant, don't make it difficult for me to like my work either. That's why I also really enjoy customer contact with the end customer.
Number 1 on the MeisterSinger Bridge

Nico is our man of the first hour and a real family man. The married father of two children shares his life with two cats and a dog in addition to his family. Nico has family and social values in his blood, so it was a natural choice for him to focus his professional career on the social sector in the first place, with training and studies. It's just good for us that Nico changed his professional orientation after his studies - after all, he completed a commercial apprenticeship after gaining initial experience in the furniture retail trade. You need to have that much stamina.

In his free time, Nico enjoys endurance sports. He boxes and keeps fit, but because he also needs to rest from time to time, he regularly goes out into nature for long walks with the dog at his side. When he is not playing football, he enjoys soul music from the 60s and 70s. A very versatile person.

Place in the movement

In 2005 Nico became the first permanent employee of MeisterSinger. He is our specialist for order processing and logistics. But Nico can do even more: he is someone who is always trying to improve old structures, build new ones and solve problems - a real doer. Because he is involved from the very beginning, he certainly has the best overview and is as deeply involved in the MeisterSinger matter as hardly anyone else.

Nico about his work at MeisterSinger

"Before the interview at MeisterSinger, I said to my wife: It's probably one of those small, young "startup watch brands" that a guy sets up from his flat and a friend of his does the bookkeeping. And that is exactly how it was. In the beginning there were three of us. But MeisterSinger grew fast, everything grew bigger from year to year. The premises, the number of employees, the production quantities, the turnover and of course the problems associated with it.

And this is exactly what I still enjoy doing in my work to this day: getting problems out of the way, creating new structures in the constant change of time and watching the company grow."
